Established in the UK in 1996, Claranet was one of the first ISPs to offer dialup Internet access. Capitalising on its success in the UK, Claranet began to expand into Europe, launching Claranet France in 1999 and Claranet Germany in 2000. As an independent provider, unconnected to national telecoms companies, Claranet marshalled its considerable technical skills and flexible working practices to create solutions tailored for small businesses and corporate clients.
A series of strategic acquisitions, including Catalonia Network Services (2000), Netscalibur (2002 & 2003) and VIA.NETWORKS (2005) made it possible for Claranet to broaden its presence to include Spain, Portugal, The Netherlands and the United States. With the acquisition of Artful in 2005, the group added managed applications to our portfolio of services.
Today, Claranet is a trusted Managed Services Provider with offices in London, Manchester, Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Eindhoven, Atlanta, Barcelona and Lisbon. Our clients include more than 36,000 corporate clients, including Public Sector Partners and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.
Our comprehensive portfolio of communication solutions, together with a practical and flexible approach to service delivery, has established Claranet as one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies in the sector.
Our aim is to design, build and manage tailored cost-effective solutions which are adaptable and scalable. It is a vision which is based on a solid financial proposition, with turnover for the Claranet Group exceeding €106 million in 2006 and a positive operating result (EBITDA) since 1999.
Claranet's strength lies in our ability to use creative thinking and the right technology to give customers confidence in their business.
Claranet: Creative thinking...Business confidence.
