How Can I make A DNS change?

Claranet are responsible for making all DNS changes that you require. This procedure is in place to ensure that maximum security is maintained when
making alterations to your domain.

We will need to take security information from you, and the specific information we require depends on what domain you have with us. Please e-mail us at bsupport@clara.net, and we will be happy to tell you what information we require from you.

Alternatively, you can fax our business support team on 0845 245 0674. Please include all of the following information:

  • The domain name in question.
  • A signature by an authorised account contact.
  • A contact email address for notification purposes.
  • Full details of the changes to be made, including whether they are
    to be actioned immediately or on a certain date.

Please note: all faxes must be sent on company letter headed paper and preferably typed, not hand-written, to avoid legibility issues.

These changes will be dealt with within 24 hours of the fax being sent, provided the fax meets the criteria stated above. Once the request has been actioned, a further propagation period of up to 24 hours is applicable.
