Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions supplied with your hardware for details on how to connect your ADSL device to the phone line, power source and the computer.
1) The Netgear router is configured using a web interface. To access this, open your web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
2) When prompted, enter the admin username and password for your router. The admin username and password are set by the manufacturer, if you have not modified the login details the default should be as follows:
Username: admin
Password: password
3) Select Basic settings, then, in the Login and Password fields, enter the the login details supplied to you by Claranet. To save your settings, click on Apply.

4) From the left-hand menu, select ADSL Settings and ensure the settings below are correct.
Multiplexing method :- VC-BASED
VCI :- 38
VPI :- 0

5) To save your settings, click on Apply.
6) On the main menu, click Logout to complete the configuration process.
Follow the instructions up to step 2 as stated in the previous section above before continuing with the steps below.
1) Select LAN IP Setup under the Advanced section of the menu.

2) Insert the first available IP within your range as the LAN IP Address. Please note the first (Network Address) and last (Broadcast Address) IP addresses of your range are reserved making them unavailable to use, hence the first available IP will be the second IP address in your range.
Enter the correct LAN IP Subnet Mask.
Ensure "Use Router as DHCP Server" is turned off by unticking the box.
These details will be supplied by Claranet if you have a NON-NAT solution with us.
3) Select Apply to save the settings.
4) Click on Logout on the router's main menu to complete the configuration process.
please ensure that you have assigned an IP address from the range to your computer in order to communicate with the router correctly, this is done usually through the TCP/IP settings on your computer.
