Claranet offers a choice in operating systems to fit your requirements. As a certified Microsoft Gold Partner we can provide the highest level of expertise for your Windows Hosting environment. If your preference is Linux, we have similar expertise and offer Redhat Enterprise Linux.

Installation

Initially, Claranet will install only the base operating system. Additional components commonly bundled with the operating system (OS) will then be installed but only as requested by the customer. This frees up system resources on the server, and removes potential security threats from unwanted components.

Patching

Claranet's goal is to protect your systems before problems happen. As new security patches are released by our software vendors, they are first tested by our engineering team before being pushed out to customer's systems. This will ensure that your solution will be kept up to date without interfering in your daily business activities.

24x7 Monitoring

Hosting environments require close attention and frequent tuning to get the most from the resources available, so 24x7 monitoring is an essential part of expert operating system management. Claranet has invested in the best technology, processes and training in the industry to ensure our engineers are on top of issues before or as they happen, giving our customers the freedom to focus on running their business.

Claranet has two main levels of operating system monitoring, Standard and Enhanced:

Feature Standard Enhanced
Monitoring level Reactive monitoring - Claranet's engineers will be alerted of a failure and will respond to it. Reactive and Proactive monitoring - Claranet's engineers will respond to both alerted failures and signs of deterioration that indicate a failure is imminent.
OS and service monitoring Ping and Port monitoring for availability Ping and Port monitoring for availability and response time
OS resources monitoring Not included Operating system memory, storage and CPU utilisation
