Claranet are pleased to announce its first Ruby on Rails Technology Briefing – an informal event where web developers, online publishers, technology strategists and business managers come together to learn more about this rapidly evolving framework and explore its relevance to doing business online.
For the launch – Stuart Eccles from Made by Many, Laurie Young from New Bamboo and Claranet’s Chris Cooke - will be sharing their thoughts and practical experiences on working with rails.
Chris Cooke, Ruby on Rails Development Team Lead at Claranet, will be demonstrating how Claranet have used Ruby on Rails over the last three years and give a quick tour of the applications currently in development at Claranet. Chris will also discuss the challenges faced doing "The Big Rewrite" and developing and maintaining really big rails applications.

Stuart Eccles, Technical Director at Made by Many, will be exploring ways to gain commitment from internal and external stakeholders when selecting a Ruby on rails platform.
